Empower Tehama invites the public to join them in their 6th Annual Candlelight Walk, bringing the spotlight on the issue of Domestic Violence in Tehama County.

RED BLUFF, CA (September 17, 2018) – Empower Tehama will host their sixth annual Candlelight Walk on October 3, 2018 on the steps of the Historic Tehama County Courthouse (633 Washington Street) in Red Bluff at 7 pm.

Candlelight Walk is the kickoff event for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The evening’s activities will include a memorial to those lost to domestic violence, refreshments and a powerful program emceed by Jeanne Spurr. Highlights include music by Sugar, a survivor’s story, a performance by the RBHS Forte Choir and keynote speaker DA-elect Matt Rogers. The evening will end with a candlelight walk to remember those who have lost their lives to domestic violence, as well as the many survivors and those currently in abusive relationships.
